Red Consulting

Red Consulting Group is a recruitment agency specializing in high profile placements. They set themselves apart by giving their candidates as well as their clients the red carpet treatment.

The fit out for Red is in Zone 23, a new mixed use building in Mt Eden. The shop fronts of the commercial units, of which this is one, were designed by the architects of Zone 23, and we were not allowed to change these in any way. The ‘shell’ provided to our client has remained intact - Gib lined inter-tenancy walls, exposed COM-floor ceilings, two suspended lighting strips and a polished concrete floor.

Our brief was to provide interview rooms ensuring audio and visual privacy, an open plan work environment for four consultants, a reception and waiting area, a lounging area, a kitchen, and storage facilities.

The north face of the unit is entirely glazed, and we decided to place the consultants here to take advantage of the sun and view, and to be hidden from the entry into the consultancy.

The interview/meeting rooms are placed along the length of the space in a container-like fashion without touching the shell of the building, other than resting on the floor. These rooms glow, expressing the energy of the functions within.
